CanDO aMTB biking demos and tours - Inclusive Trail Day at Pinhey Forest Sept 13, 2025

Join us on September 13th for an open NCC event. Free supported hikes and off-road adaptive equipment demos on low-barrier trails in the NCC Greenbelt at Pinhey Forest

Located in the southwest end of Ottawa, Trail 31 winds through the Southern Farm and Pinhey Forest sector of Ottawa’s Greenbelt, offering shaded paths beneath red maple and mature coniferous trees.

About the Activities

Accessibility

The trail surface material is comprised of stonedust, soil or gravel, depending on the section. Participants can preview the trail virtually using the Inclusive Trails Map, which includes 360° views, slope data, and photos of potential obstacles.

The event runs from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. No registration required to attend—drop in anytime between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to explore the trail and connect with our community partners.

This event invites participants to explore the new mapping application, test out adaptive trail equipment, and explore the trail at their own pace in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Hours for trying out the Bowhead Reach Adaptive Mountain Bike:

  • Standard handlebars: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Quad grip handlebars: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

If you want to try the Bowhead Reach Adaptive Mountain Bike, please fill out this insurance form with Ontario Cycling, our group insurance provider, before attending.

If you have your own helmet, we encourage you to bring it!

Getting There

The site is accessible by car (free parking available), active transportation, and public transit.

Address: Nepean Sportsplex, 1701 Woodroffe Ave.We recommend using Entrance 3 (at the back of the building) for drop-off and pick-up. Event signage will guide you to the nearby trailhead, P14.
