The CanDO Society is launching our Inaugural CanDO Adaptive Learn to Camp, a disability-led camping experience delivered in partnership with the National Capital Commission at the newly-built accessible mini-chalets of Philippe Lake Campground in Gatineau Park. This event will run July 10–12, 2026, with rain dates of July 17–19, 2026. Designed for adults (18+) with mobility-related disabilities, the program is delivered by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities.

This supportive, confidence-building weekend introduces accessible camping skills to beginners and returning campers alike.  A limited number of accessible overnight spots will be available across three mini-chalets, with potential for additional overnight tenting and daytime participation to broaden community access.
